Welcome to KonofFoods. By downloading or using our app, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using KonofFoods, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

KonofFoods is a marketplace platform connecting food producers, farmers, sellers, and buyers. We provide tools for listing products, discovering food items, communicating between parties, and facilitating transactions.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You may not create accounts for others or use another person's account
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

4. Seller Responsibilities

• Sellers must accurately describe all products listed on the platform
• Products must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders they accept
• False advertising, misleading descriptions, or misrepresentation is prohibited
• Sellers must honor the prices they list

5. Buyer Responsibilities

• Buyers must provide accurate delivery information
• Payment must be made as agreed with the seller
• Buyers must communicate in good faith with sellers

6. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on KonofFoods:

• Listing illegal products or substances
• Fraudulent transactions or payment disputes made in bad faith
• Harassment, abuse, or threats toward other users
• Spamming or sending unsolicited commercial messages
• Creating fake accounts or impersonating other users
• Attempting to circumvent platform fees or policies
• Uploading malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations

7. Payments and Escrow

KonofFoods holds buyer payments in escrow. When you buy on KonofFoods, you do not pay the seller directly. You transfer the full amount to KonofFoods, we hold it, and we release it to the seller only after you confirm your goods arrived.

How a payment works

1. You place an order and are shown the KonofFoods account to pay, together with a short order code to use as the transfer reference.
2. You transfer the amount shown and upload your receipt. Orders that are not paid within 24 hours are cancelled automatically.
3. We confirm the money has arrived and mark your order paid. From this point the funds are held by KonofFoods and are not the seller's.
4. The seller prepares and sends your order.
5. You confirm delivery in the app, and the seller is paid. This is the only action that releases the money.

Automatic release

If you do not confirm and do not raise a problem, funds are released to the seller automatically after a hold period that begins when the seller marks your order delivered: 3 days for a same-city delivery, 5 days within the same country, and 7 days for a cross-border or remote delivery. This exists so that a seller who has delivered is not left unpaid indefinitely. Raising a dispute before the hold period ends stops the automatic release.

Disputes

If your goods do not arrive, or arrive in a condition you did not agree to, raise a dispute in the app before the hold period ends. Funds stay held by KonofFoods while we review it. We may release the payment to the seller, return it to you, or split it, based on the evidence both sides provide. Our decision on how held funds are released is final.

Refunds

Where a refund is due, we return it to the account you paid from, less any transfer charges. Refunds are sent manually and may take several working days.

Fees

A service fee is added to the price of the goods and shown to you before you pay. The seller receives the full price they listed; the fee is charged to the buyer and covers delivery and handling.

What we are and are not responsible for

We are responsible for holding your payment and releasing it according to these Terms. We are not the seller of any goods listed on KonofFoods. We do not grow, pack, inspect or transport them, and we do not warrant their quality, safety or legality. Sellers remain responsible for what they sell and for fulfilling orders they accept.

Money held by KonofFoods is not a deposit, is not a bank account, and earns no interest. We hold it only for the purpose and period described above.

We will never ask you to pay a seller directly, and we will never ask you to send money outside the app. If anyone asks you to do either — including someone claiming to work for KonofFoods — it is a scam. Report it to us and do not send anything. Paying a seller directly removes every protection described in this section.

8. Content and Intellectual Property

By posting content on KonofFoods (photos, descriptions, messages), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

You must only post content you own or have the right to use. Do not post copyrighted material without permission.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise harm the KonofFoods community. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or our deletion request page.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

KonofFoods is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, transactions between users, or content posted by other users.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to KonofFoods in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of KonofFoods after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. For disputes, you agree to first attempt resolution through our support team at konofkonnect@gmail.com before pursuing any legal action.
