KonofFoods (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

Name, username, and email address when you create an account
Profile picture and bio information
Location data to show relevant products in your area
Product listings, photos, and descriptions you upload
Messages you send to other users
Order details and transaction history
Business listing information (for Connect feature)

We also collect information automatically:

Device identifiers for security and account protection
App usage data and feature interactions
Crash reports to improve app stability

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the KonofFoods marketplace
To facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers
To send notifications about orders, messages, and account activity
To improve our app features and fix bugs
To verify your identity and prevent fraud
To comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

With other users as part of normal marketplace operation (e.g., your username and product listings are visible to other users)
With Firebase (Google) as our database and authentication provider
With payment processors when you make or receive payments
When required by law or to protect our rights

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We use Firebase Authentication for secure account access and Firebase Firestore with access rules that prevent unauthorized access to your data.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Access: View your profile data in the Account tab
Update: Edit your profile information at any time
Delete: Request full account deletion through Account Settings → Account Security → Delete Account, or via our web deletion request page. This removes all your data permanently.
Location: You can disable location permissions in your device settings
Notifications: You can manage push notifications in your device settings

6. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account from within the app (Account → Account Security → Delete Account) or by submitting a request at https://konoffoods.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your profile, product listings, orders, messages, and all associated data. Some data may be retained as required by law for up to 90 days before complete removal.

7. Children's Privacy

KonofFoods is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
